Storm damage repair in Charlotte
Most storm damage does not look like damage from the ground. Hail bruises a shingle without breaking it, wind lifts a tab and lays it back down, and both of those shorten a roof by years without leaking today. The inspection is free because you genuinely cannot tell from the driveway, and neither can the person who knocked on your door.
What we look for after a storm
- Hail bruising — granule loss and soft spots you find by touch, not by eye
- Wind creasing along the tab line, which fails later rather than now
- Lifted or missing ridge cap, the first thing to go in a straight-line wind
- Damaged vents, boots, drip edge and flashing — the metal tells the story
- Gutter and downspout dents, which date the storm for an adjuster
- Interior: attic decking, insulation and ceiling stains from an existing leak
- A photo report with every finding located on the roof plan
What it doesn't cover
- A promise that you have damage — plenty of roofs come through fine
- Filing your claim for you; you file it, we document and attend
- Siding, windows and fences, though we will note them in the report
Saying so upfront is cheaper for both of us than finding out on the day.

Storm Damage Repair questions
Six people have knocked on my door since the storm. Are you one of them?
No. We have been at the same Monroe Road address since 2009 and we do not run door-to-door crews. If someone knocks claiming to represent us, they do not — call the number on this site and check.
How long do I have to file after a storm?
Most North Carolina and South Carolina policies give you a year, some less, and the clock starts at the date of loss rather than the date you noticed. That is the argument for a free inspection now even if the roof seems fine.
What if you find nothing?
Then we tell you that, give you the photo report anyway, and leave. It happens often enough that we would rather say it here than have you assume the free inspection has a predetermined answer.
Will filing a claim raise my premium?
A weather claim is generally treated differently from an at-fault claim, but that is your insurer's call and not ours — ask your agent directly before you file. Anyone in a truck who tells you flatly that it will not is guessing on your behalf.
