Free roof inspection in Charlotte
The inspection is the product on this page, and it is free for a reason that is not generosity: you cannot tell whether you have storm damage and neither can the person at your door, so the only way to have an honest conversation is to look first. If your roof has five good years left we will tell you that, and we will put it in writing.
What the inspection covers
- Every slope walked where it is safe to walk, drone-flown where it is not
- Field shingles checked by hand for hail bruising and granule loss
- All flashing, boots, vents and the ridge line
- Gutters and downspouts, including dents that date a hail event
- Attic decking and insulation checked from inside for existing moisture
- Ventilation measured against the attic square footage
- A written photo report emailed to you, yours to keep either way
What it doesn't cover
- A structural or code inspection — that is a licensed home inspector's remit
- Mould testing or remediation
- Any obligation whatsoever, including the polite kind

Is it actually free, or is there a catch?
Actually free, and the report is yours whether you hire us or not. The catch, if you want to call it one, is that we think a documented roof and an honest answer wins enough of the work to pay for the ones it does not.
How soon can you come out?
Most inspections are scheduled within 24 hours. After a named storm the queue gets longer and we prioritise active leaks and tarping over assessments — if water is coming in now, say so and you move up.
Do I need to be home?
No. We can inspect and send the report, then walk you through it on the phone. Most people would rather be there for the walkthrough at the end, and that is fine too.
Will you try to sell me a roof?
We will tell you what we found and what it costs to fix. If the answer is that you do not need anything yet, that is the whole conversation. Talking somebody out of a replacement is the review we get quoted on most.
